Strømsgodset Toppfotball is a Norwegian football club from Gulskogen in Drammen, who plays in Tippeligaen. It is the elite football section of the multi-sports club Strømsgodset IF. The multi-sports club was founded 10 February 1907, but the football team first found success in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The Norwegian First Division (Norwegian: 1. divisjon) is a professional league in the second highest division of the Norwegian football league system. The league was established in 1948 following a reorganization of the Norwegian league system. From the 2015 season, it will be branded as OBOS-ligaen, after a six-year deal was agreed with the housing cooperative OBOS. Formally, it was a semi-professional league.
