Yongin FC (Korean: 용인 FC) is a professional football club based in Yongin, South Korea. It is expected to be formally established in January 2026 ahead of its inaugural season in K League 2, the second tier of men's football in South Korea. Early in 2025 Yongin mayor Lee Sang-il announced his intention to launch a professional football team in the city. The commitment was ratified in May 2025 and Kim Jin-hyung was appointed as chairman. Hwaseong FC (Korean: 화성 FC) is a South Korean professional football club based in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province. They play in the K League 2, the second tier of South Korean football. The club was founded on 23 January 2013 as a semi-professional club, but turned professional ahead of the 2025 season when they joined the K League.
The K League 2 (Hangul: K리그2) is a South Korean professional association football league. Being the second tier of the South Korean football league system, it is currently contested by ten clubs, and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the K League 1.
