Lincoln City Football Club is a professional association football club based in the city of Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. The club competes in the EFL Championship, the second tier of English football, following promotion from EFL League One. In 1982 and again in 1983, Lincoln narrowly missed out on promotion to the Second Division.
