The team will begin play in Major League Soccer (MLS) starting in 2018, as a member of the Western Conference. The team was established in 2014. The Salt Lake City Stars is an American basketball team that plays in the NBA Development League. The team is based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Beginning in the 2016–17 season, the Stars will play at the Lifetime Activities Center-Bruin Arena, on the campus of Salt Lake Community College. Prior to the move to Salt Lake City for the 2016–2017 season, the team was known as the Idaho Stampede.
