Graham Potter extends contract as Sweden coach until 2030

Sweden coach Graham Potter has ⁠extended his contract until 2030, the Swedish Football Association (SvFF) announced on ‌Thursday.

[p]The 50-year-old, who made his name in Swedish ‌club football during a hugely ‌successful seven-year spell at [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/ostersund/dvUkoqAQ/"]Ostersund[/a] before managing Premier ‌League clubs [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/chelsea/4fGZN2oK/"]Chelsea[/a] and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/west-ham/Cxq57r8g/"]West Ham ‌United[/a], took the [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/sweden/OQyqbHWB/"]Sweden[/a] job on a short-term contract in October 2025.[/p][p]"[b]To be able ‌to continue in this role ⁠means a ‌lot to me. They take ‌on [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/ukraine/j1JtDMwo/"]Ukraine[/a] in a playoff in ​Valencia, Spain, on March 26th.[/p][p]If Sweden ‌beat Ukraine they will face [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/poland/2HzmcynI/"]Poland[/a] or [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/albania/ELP2K4oB/"]Albania[/a] in Stockholm on March 31st, with the winners qualifying for the World Cup in the ⁠US, Canada and ⁠Mexico starting ‌in June.[/p]
