Dallas Mavericks fire head coach Jason Kidd after abysmal season

He started his NBA coaching career with the Brooklyn Nets (2013-2014) before moving on to the Milwaukee Bucks for the next four years (2014-2017). [/p][p]After taking a season off (2018) from coaching, Kidd came back into the league as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers for a couple of years (2019-2020). Then, he got back in the saddle again with the Mavs in 2021. [/p][p]Kidd's lone year in Brooklyn is the only tenure with a team where he left with a winning record. Before finishing 205-205 with the Mavericks, he left Milwaukee with a 139-152 record, losing in the first round of the NBA playoffs in three of his five years with them. [/p]
