[p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/panama/OWKqbCfi/"]Panama[/a] looked the better ‌side in the first half and ‌had plenty of opportunities throughout the match ‌but were unable to find the net ‌before [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/yirenkyi-caleb/INmgLCSF/"]Caleb Yirenkyi[/a] [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/soccer/ghana-nNBjHale/panama-OWKqbCfi/?mid=jD1Nwbif"]knocked home the winner[/a] for [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/ghana/nNBjHale/"]Ghana[/a] in the 95th minute.[/p][p]"The result is ‌painful, but that's because we deserved better," [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/christiansen-thomas/AuojCcV5/"]Christiansen[/a] ‌said. "We were excellent in the first half - we controlled Ghana."[/p][p]"It is a cruel way to lose a game," he added. "But we can't just keep dwelling on this error forever."[/p][p]Panama are still searching for their first-ever World Cup win and now face an uphill battle to get out of a group that also includes heavyweights [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/england/j9N9ZNFA/"]England[/a] and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/croatia/K8aznggo/"]Croatia[/a].[/p][p]"Here ‌we have two games against very challenging opponents," Christiansen said. "We know the quality they have, but we will do our very best."[/p][embed guid="69dac215-3937-491a-a0ac-950919a0f03d" url="https://x.com/onesoccer/status/2067414658873438401?s=20" social-type="twitter" /][p]Panama's next match is on Tuesday against Croatia, who will also be looking to bounce back after a 4-2 loss to England earlier on Wednesday.[/p][p]Christiansen praised ‌Croatia as an "excellent team" but said his side will bring their top game ‌and not be timid.[/p][p]"The way we'll do that is by showing that Panama is a very difficult team to beat, and we are going to fight to the very end," Christiansen said.[/p]
