Winning another Champions Hockey League (CHL) title just two nights ago did nothing for Frolunda's poor form in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), as the new European champions were beaten in overtime at home to Rogle, while leaders Skelleftea were well beaten by third-placed Vaxjo.

[p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/tommernes-henrik/4OY23xEQ/"]Henrik Tommernes[/a] provided two assists in the CHL Final against [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/lulea/0QhOwF1e/"]Lulea[/a], but this time he was finishing off the chances - his goal broke the deadlock after 12 minutes, but the lead lasted all of 51 seconds, as [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/ladue-paul/nFpM0wsp/"]Paul LaDue[/a] quickly got [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/rogle/j5ve8f1r/"]Rogle[/a] back on level terms.[/p][p]There were no goals in the middle period, but after getting on the scoresheet on Tuesday, [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/lasu-nicklas/pdDhw9oN/"]Nicklas Lasu[/a] was at it again less than three minutes into the third period, though once again, [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/frolunda/pAG4OqEE/"]Frolunda[/a] didn't manage the lead well, and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/nilsson-felix/vN94rnWb/"]Felix Nilsson[/a] levelled things up again with 11 minutes to play.[/p][p]That meant overtime at the Scandinavium again, but this time it wouldn't be the home fans celebrating, as it took all of 15 seconds for Nilsson to score his second of the game and win it [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/hockey/frolunda-pAG4OqEE/rogle-j5ve8f1r/?mid=n1EKumSb"]3-2[/a] for Rogle.[/p][p]It's now a remarkable 10 defeats in 12 SHL matches for the former runaway leaders, while the Angelholm side pick up just a second win in six, all of which have gone beyond regulation time.[/p][embed guid="20357598-39eb-4935-92f6-b262f5a5c7f4" url="https://x.com/SHLse/status/2029654703898820667" social-type="twitter" /][p]Frolunda managed to close the gap to [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/skelleftea/8jdWygW7/"]Skelleftea[/a] to four points, but could soon be at risk of being passed by [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/vaxjo/hzXCSnCE/"]Vaxjo[/a] after the Lakers ended the leader's three-match winning run with a confident [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/hockey/skelleftea-8jdWygW7/vaxjo-hzXCSnCE/?mid=jZKBs9cn"]4-1[/a] victory.[/p][p]A [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/rasmussen-dennis/jmVyoXQF/"]Dennis Rasmussen[/a] powerplay goal with time running down in the opening period didn't seem to phase Skelleftea, who were level again early in the second through [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/hugg-rickard/UwnzCOS7/"]Rickard Hugg[/a], but strikes from [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/mclaughlin-dylan/OxRjt5Ag/"]Dylan McLaughlin[/a] and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/gardiner-reid/Qato2gFm/"]Reid Gardiner[/a] late in the middle period swung things in the hosts' favour.[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/rafferty-brogan/YiADqnCU/"]Brogan Rafferty[/a] all but put the game beyond doubt four minutes into the final period, as Vaxjo bounce back after a heavy defeat to [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/farjestad/4b1TBPb8/"]Farjestad[/a] and cut the gap to the top to 10 points, as their visitors remain stuck on 99.[/p][embed guid="c1a019ad-6cce-4211-93cd-f7ef63c38f1d" url="https://x.com/SHLse/status/2029645646567800979" social-type="twitter" /][p]Lulea suffered something of a hangover from their CHL Final loss, as they fell to a [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/hockey/leksand-6X2ODGwL/lulea-0QhOwF1e/?mid=0Au2N5CU"]3-1[/a] loss away at [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/leksand/6X2ODGwL/"]Leksand[/a], whose survival bid is alive and well following a fifth win in six matches. It's now back-to-back SHL losses and three in a row in all competitions for the reigning champions.[/p][p]Not only that, Lulea have slipped to sixth and been overtaken by [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/brynas/MZgKvenk/"]Brynas[/a], for whom [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/bellows-kieffer/KpGuJiak/"]Kieffer Bellows[/a] struck twice in a [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/hockey/brynas-MZgKvenk/timra-KC8bDdOE/?mid=QRsTy5RN"]4-1[/a] success at [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/timra/KC8bDdOE/"]Timra[/a]. It's three wins on the bounce now for Brynas, while the hosts are pointless from their last three and now have just a three-point cushion inside the playoff places.[/p][p]Leksand are still bottom of the table but now by just one point, after [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/hv-71/CG08m2ie/"]HV 71[/a] were beaten 2-0 in a shootout, which confirmed a [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/hockey/hv-71-CG08m2ie/linkoping-8njZmM61/?mid=KECSwRdB"]4-3[/a] defeat at home to [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/linkoping/8njZmM61/"]Linkoping[/a]. [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/shore-nick/b1ATHX0B/"]Nick Shore[/a] scored a goal and a penalty for the visitors, who are closing in on Timra for that final playoff place.[/p][embed guid="7870b6af-f565-44e6-8a1e-caefe4ab3847" url="https://x.com/SHLse/status/2029654523015311703" social-type="twitter" /][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/orebro/Y3RLgQQn/"]Orebro[/a] have not given up hope of a playoff spot just yet - [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/karlkvist-patrik/Y7fL73An/"]Patrik Karlkvist[/a] netted twice as they cruised past [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/djurgarden/Q7UY6Hrs/"]Djurgarden[/a] [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/hockey/djurgarden-Q7UY6Hrs/orebro-Y3RLgQQn/?mid=YcloRmD5"]4-1[/a] for a third win in a row and a fourth loss in five for the Stockholm side. Only six points separate the duo now, as they sit in 12th and 9th, respectively.[/p][p]Finally, [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/persson-carl/8WJLUQ4D/"]Carl Persson[/a] scored in the final minute of regulation and two minutes into overtime to earn [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/malmo/pO1SCzgR/"]Malmo[/a] a dramatic [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/hockey/farjestad-4b1TBPb8/malmo-pO1SCzgR/?mid=veigPRsI"]2-1[/a] win over Farjestad in a mid-table clash that ends the Redhawks' barren run and moves them back to within two points of the top six, and four clear of Farjestad in eighth.[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/hockey/sweden/shl/"]Review all the latest SHL scores, stats and standings on Flashscore.[/a][/p]
