Despite dominating the game throughout the 90 minutes, Danish Superliga league leaders AGF were left to settle for one point against FC Nordsjaelland in a 1-1 draw when the two clubs clashed in Aarhus with seven matches left to play in the Danish domestic league.

[p]AGF's efforts to win the Danish championship suffered a setback on Friday evening with [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/soccer/aarhus-OOXnKGbO/nordsjaelland-2wZHnGDH/?mid=GvMY99JG"]a 1-1 result[/a] at home against [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/nordsjaelland/2wZHnGDH/"]FC Nordsjaelland[/a] in the Superliga.[/p][p]FC Nordsjaelland's [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/lahteenmaki-juho/UwF0H0WS/"]Juho Lähteenmäki[/a] scored early, but AGF central defender [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/tingager-frederik/K4IDMxKt/"]Frederik Tingager[/a] equalized with a late goal to salvage at least one point for the home side.[/p][p]Thanks to the result, FC Midtjylland suddenly has a golden opportunity to reduce the gap to AGF, but [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/tullberg-mike/vNHfI9Yp/"]Mike Tullberg[/a]'s outfit has a difficult task ahead of them on Sunday away against Brondby.[/p][p]The visitors started the match opportunistically, and wing-back Juho Lähteenmäki opened the scoring after nine minutes when Frederik Emmery slipped on the grass, and this created an outnumbered situation, which FCN exploited effectively.[/p][image alt="AGF - FC Nordsjaelland - Player Ratings" id="82615ed9-beb6-487d-8aa3-c99f5636e79a" credit-line="Flashare" guid="c8db0823-ee4b-4081-a943-2b5ea09fb47d" original-width="1200" original-height="1200" /][p]Lähteenmäki made a move towards the center of the pitch without being pressured by AGF central defender [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/dalsgaard-henrik/27ecmYUM/"]Henrik Dalsgaard[/a] and slotted the ball coolly past AGF keeper Jesper Hansen to make it 1-0.[/p][p]The goal became a signal for the home side to put FC Nordsjaelland under tremendous pressure for the rest of the first half, however, without being able to make the most of their dominance. [/p][p]In the second half, AGF put the Nordsjaelland goal under a virtual siege, and Jens Fonsskov Olsen's men had their backs to the wall for the majority of the second half. [/p][p]After a string of chances, AGF finally got a deserved equalizer eight minutes from the end when centre-back Frederik Tingager, who had just replaced Henrik Dalsgaard, rose to head home the ball with his first touch in the game.  [/p][p]Five minutes later, AGF could have taken all three points, but substitute striker Patrick Mortensen hit the post when it seemed easier to score, leaving the home side to settle for one point. [/p]
