Wimbledon will feature the first half of the quarter-final matches on Tuesday, with reigning champion Jannik Sinner and record-breaker Novak Djokovic expected to set up their highly anticipated semi-final showdown. The women's fixtures will see Naomi Osaka face Karolina Muchova, alongside an all-American clash between friends Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff.

Since then, he has found himself in several dangerous fourth-round encounters at big tournaments. This time, however, there was no such drama. The timing of the match and the caliber of his opponent, world No. 151 Shintaro Mochizuki, who was making his first-ever Grand Slam fourth-round appearance, were both firmly in Sinner's favor, and the Italian took full advantage, cruising to a dominant 6-3, 7-6, 6-3 victory.[/p][p]Sinner's fitness has long been the biggest question mark in his game. While he largely overcame those issues during his rise to world No. 1, they have resurfaced in recent months, particularly in hot conditions, as seen during his matches against Eliot Spizzirri at the Australian Open and Juan Manuel Cerundolo at the French Open. With another hot day forecast for his Wimbledon quarter-final and the match scheduled during the daytime, those physical concerns could once again become a factor. It will be interesting to see whether he has managed to address that weakness.[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/struff-jan-lennard/Ek3bDDo2/"]Jan-Lennard Struff[/a]'s remarkable fighting spirit has been the defining feature of his Wimbledon campaign. In all four of his matches, he has found himself in difficult positions, trailing either by sets or by a break within sets, yet he has repeatedly fought his way back. His latest victory over Hubert Hurkacz was the most impressive of the lot, as he recovered from two sets down to stun the former Wimbledon semi-finalist and book his place in the quarter-finals.[/p][p]The German's prolonged slump since the 2024 Paris Olympics caused significant damage to his ranking. However, he appears to have erased nearly two years of struggles during this impressive Wimbledon campaign, with his quarter-final run guaranteeing a return to the ATP top 50. More importantly, it is bound to restore his confidence in a big way, as it has earned him the first Grand Slam quarter-final appearance of his career.[/p]
Head-to-head
[p]Sinner leads 3-0. All three of their previous meetings came in 2024, with Sinner winning every encounter. However, their only meeting on grass was a closely contested affair in Halle, where Struff took a set and pushed the Italian to a deciding set.[/p]
Stats & facts
[p]Sinner holds a 2-2 record in Wimbledon quarter-finals, alternating between wins and losses in his four previous appearances at this stage.[/p][p]Sinner has never gone unbeaten on grass in a season and currently owns a perfect 5-0 record on the surface this year.[/p][p]Struff has never defeated a top-five player at a Grand Slam, losing all eight such encounters.[/p][p]Struff has faced the world No. 1 on six occasions in his career and has lost every one of those matches.[/p]
Betting analysis
[p]Sinner starts as an overwhelming favorite, as he has in most of his matches over the past two years. However, on this occasion, such heavy favoritism feels somewhat unwarranted, as this matchup carries a few threats for the Italian. Struff possesses the serve and game to avoid a routine defeat and extend the match to the kind of length that has tended to expose Sinner's physical vulnerabilities, particularly under the hot conditions expected at Wimbledon on Tuesday.[/p][p]Just as importantly, Struff arrives with tremendous belief after repeatedly fighting back from losing positions throughout this fortnight. When a player keeps finding ways to win from seemingly hopeless situations, the momentum and confidence that comes with it can make him an especially dangerous opponent.[/p][embed guid="8c85fba4-ddd1-4652-9a39-6923109e616b" url="https://x.com/SK__Tennis/status/2074058062378536970" social-type="twitter" /]
Sinner in 2026
[p]Best results: Rome, Madrid, Monte Carlo, Miami, Indian Wells (title)[/p][p]Best results on grass: first tournament[/p][p]Record: 41-3[/p][p]Record in the last 10 matches: 9-1[/p][p]Record on grass: 4-0[/p][p]Record against top-50 to top-100 players: 10-1 (career 108-18)[/p][p]Record in Grand Slam quarter-finals: 1-0 (career 9-5)[/p][p]Grand Slams: Australian Open (semi-finals), French Open (round of 64)[/p]
Sinner at Wimbledon
[p]Career record: 24-4[/p][p]Best result: title (2025)[/p][p]Last year's result: title[/p][p]Record in quarter-finals: 2-2[/p][p]Preparation: none[/p][p]Road to the quarter-finals: Kecmanovic (4-6, 6-3, 6-7, 6-2, 6-3), Borges (7-6, 7-6, 6-4), Brooksby (6-4, 6-3, 6-4), Mochizuki (6-3, 7-6, 6-3)[/p]
Struff in 2026
[p]Best results: Wimbledon (quarter-finals)[/p][p]Best results on grass: Wimbledon (quarter-finals)[/p][p]Record: 15-17[/p][p]Record in the last 10 matches: 7-3[/p][p]Record on grass: 6-2[/p][p]Record against top-10 players: 2-2 (career 15-49)[/p][p]Record in Grand Slam quarter-finals: 0-0 (career 0-0)[/p][p]Grand Slams: Australian Open (round of 128), French Open (round of 64)[/p]
Struff at Wimbledon
[p]Career record: 13-11[/p][p]Best result: quarter-finals (2026)[/p][p]Last year's result: round of 32[/p][p]Record in quarter-finals: 0-0[/p][p]Preparation: Stuttgart (round of 16), Mallorca (round of 16)[/p][p]Road to the quarter-finals: Baez (6-1, 7-6, 4-6, 2-6, 7-5), (28) Nakashima (4-6, 7-6, 7-6, 6-7, 7-6), (8) Medvedev (7-6, 7-6, 7-5), Hurkacz (3-6, 6-7, 7-6, 7-5, 4-2 ret.)[/p]
[a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/tennis/auger-aliassime-f-CzXh4LAb/djokovic-n-AZg49Et9/?mid=dv1uOxrH"]Auger-Aliassime vs Djokovic - 16:30 CEST[/a]

Match news and form
[p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/auger-aliassime-felix/CzXh4LAb/"]Felix Auger-Aliassime[/a] could hardly have planned his Wimbledon campaign any better, even if he had scripted it himself. He cruised through the opening week with straight-set victories over lower-ranked and relatively inexperienced opponents, conserving both time and energy. Then, just before this blockbuster quarter-final against 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, the Canadian received the ideal preparation by battling past the in-form Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in a grueling five-set fourth-round contest, giving both his body and mind the perfect test ahead of one of the biggest challenges in tennis.[/p][p]The Canadian has only rarely reached the semi-finals of Grand Slams in his career, which is by no means a major criticism. However, now that he has broken into the top four, expectations have naturally risen, with regular semi-final and final appearances at the majors becoming the new benchmark. Reaching the Wimbledon semi-finals would therefore be a highly satisfying achievement, especially as this is his first Grand Slam as a top-four player. It will not be straightforward, though, as each of his last three tournaments has ended at the quarter-final stage, at the French Open, Stuttgart, and Halle.[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/djokovic-novak/AZg49Et9/"]Novak Djokovic[/a] is no longer breezing through matches at this stage of his career, and his fourth-round clash against the in-form Roman Safiullin was no exception. He trailed 3-5 in the opening set and dropped the third set, but, as he has done so often throughout his career, Djokovic relied on his Grand Slam pedigree and unmatched composure in the key moments to manage the contest superbly and secure a comfortable passage into the quarter-finals. In doing so, he extended his streak of reaching at least the Wimbledon quarter-finals in every edition since 2017.[/p][p]At 39, the longer a campaign lasts, the more difficult it becomes for Djokovic to maintain an optimal physical condition. His biggest challenge in the coming rounds is no longer his tennis or mental resilience, but simply managing his body well enough to sustain a high level over long matches. In terms of ability, experience, and composure, he remains capable of beating anyone, but his physical limitations are increasingly becoming the factor that leaves him vulnerable. That was evident during his previous Grand Slam quarter-final run at the Australian Open, where he even benefited from a R16 walkover yet still struggled badly against Lorenzo Musetti in the quarter-finals, surviving only after the Italian was forced to retire through injury.[/p]
Head-to-head
[p]The official head-to-head is locked at 1-1. However, Djokovic won their only meeting on grass, defeating Auger-Aliassime in the 2022 Hurlingham exhibition event.[/p]
Stats & facts
[p]Auger-Aliassime made his Grand Slam quarter-final debut here at Wimbledon in 2021, where he lost to Matteo Berrettini in four sets.[/p][p]Auger-Aliassime holds a 2-3 record in Grand Slam quarter-finals. The Canadian has lost 8 of his 11 career matches against top-10 players at Grand Slams.[/p][p]Djokovic has won 106 matches at Wimbledon, the most victories by any player in the tournament's history.[/p][p]He is currently bidding to win a record-tying eighth Wimbledon title, which would equal Roger Federer's all-time record. Djokovic has played 15 Wimbledon quarter-finals, winning 13 of them.[/p]
Betting analysis
[p]The biggest issue for Djokovic at this stage of his career is his inability to finish matches quickly. Once a match extends beyond three or four sets, the physical advantage of his younger opponents begins to erode the experience and mental edge he has traditionally relied upon, making the contest far more evenly balanced.[/p][p]Auger-Aliassime is particularly dangerous in that regard, as he often grows into matches and raises his level the longer they last. Djokovic therefore needs to find a way to keep this contest short, otherwise this quarter-final has all the ingredients to develop into a fascinating thriller.[/p][embed guid="42222126-3ed4-4ed5-b18f-32e2e09fd67f" url="https://x.com/DjokerNole/status/2073831439670399331" social-type="twitter" /]
Auger-Aliassime in 2026
[p]Best results: Montpellier (title); Rotterdam (final)[/p][p]Best results on grass: Halle, Hertogenbosch (quarter-finals)[/p][p]Record: 30-13[/p][p]Record in the last 10 matches: 7-3[/p][p]Record on grass: 7-2[/p][p]Record against top-10 players: 1-2 (career 26-49)[/p][p]Record in Grand Slam quarter-finals: 0-1 (career 2-3)[/p][p]Grand Slams: Australian Open (round of 128), French Open (quarter-finals)[/p]
Auger-Aliassime at Wimbledon
[p]Career record: 11-6[/p][p]Best result: quarter-finals (2021, 2026)[/p][p]Last year's result: round of 64[/p][p]Record in quarter-finals: 0-1[/p][p]Preparation: Hertogenbosch (quarter-finals), Halle (quarter-finals)[/p][p]Road to the quarter-finals: Shevchenko (6-3, 6-1, 6-4), Prizmic (7-6, 6-3, 7-5), Zheng (7-6, 6-2, 6-1), (22) Davidovich Fokina (6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-7, 6-1)[/p]
Djokovic in 2026
[p]Best results: Australian Open (final)[/p][p]Best results on grass: first tournament[/p][p]Record: 13-4[/p][p]Record in the last 10 matches: 7-3[/p][p]Record on grass: 4-0[/p][p]Record against top-10 players: 2-1 (career 265-121)[/p][p]Record in Grand Slam quarter-finals: 1-0 (career 52-10)[/p][p]Grand Slams: Australian Open (final), French Open (round of 32)[/p]
Djokovic at Wimbledon
[p]Career record: 106-13[/p][p]Best result: title (2011, 2014-15, 2018-19, 2021-22)[/p][p]Last year's result: semi-finals[/p][p]Record in quarter-finals: 13-2[/p][p]Preparation: none[/p][p]Road to the quarter-finals: Yibing Wu (6-4, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4), S. She had been facing stiff resistance throughout the campaign, nearly dropping sets to Darja Vidmanova and Sara Sorribes Tormo.[/p][p]Pegula was having a confident season until the final weeks of the clay swing when she sustained early losses in Madrid and Roland-Garros to Marta Kostyuk and Kimberly Birrell, respectively. Until Madrid, she was running a streak of reaching at least the quarter-final in every outing since the US Open.[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/gauff-coco/f5BXmEH6/"]Coco Gauff[/a] has finally cleared the round-of-16 hurdle of Wimbledon for the first time in her career upon her fourth attempt. Similar to Pegula, the World No. 7 was pressed to rally from a set deficit to win her fourth-round match, eventually setting aside World No. 11 Belinda Bencic, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.[/p][p]It was her first-ever top-20 win at Wimbledon and her third consecutive three-setter of the campaign. In the days gone by, the 22-year-old was pushed to take the scenic route by the likes of Solana Sierra and Claire Liu. She even needed a deciding-set tiebreak to survive Sierra in the second round.[/p]
Head-to-head
[p]Pegula leads 5-3. However, this will be their first-ever encounter at a Grand Slam tournament.[/p]
Stats & facts
[p]Pegula went 0-6 in her first six Grand Slam quarter-finals (including 2023 Wimbledon) but has improved to 3-0 in the last two years.[/p][p]Pegula has won five of six meetings with top-10 players on grass, though ironically only lost to Gauff in Eastbourne in 2023.[/p][p]Gauff has been to five Grand Slam semi-finals owing to her 5-5 record in last-eight matches.[/p][p]Gauff hasn't met a top-10 player in a major since beating Aryna Sabalenka in the final of the 2025 Roland-Garros.[/p]
Betting analysis
[p]Both Americans have been to three grass-court semi-finals in their respective careers, but only Pegula has been skilled enough to go on to win titles (2024 Berlin, 2025 Bad Homburg). Therefore, while Gauff would have had the advantage on other surfaces, it is Pegula who enters their most consequential encounter yet with a notable advantage.[/p][embed guid="ce088b67-20cb-4929-ac14-fedd715dc538" url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TIxftTTvQQ" social-type="youtube" /]
Pegula in 2026
[p]Best results: Charleston, Dubai (title); Berlin (final)[/p][p]Best results on grass: Berlin (final)[/p][p]Record: 35-8[/p][p]Record in the last 10 matches: 7-3[/p][p]Record on grass: 7-1[/p][p]Record against top-10 players: 5-4 (career 31-41)[/p][p]Record in Grand Slam quarter-finals: 1-0 (career 3-6)[/p][p]Grand Slams: Australian Open (semi-finals), French Open (round of 128)[/p]
Pegula at Wimbledon
[p]Career record: 12-6[/p][p]Best result: quarter-finals (2023, 2026)[/p][p]Last year's result: round of 128[/p][p]Record in quarter-finals: 0-1[/p][p]Preparation: Berlin (final)[/p][p]Road to the quarter-finals: Vidmanova (7-5, 6-3), Sorribes (7-6, 6-1), Bouzas Maneiro (6-1, 6-3), (16) Jovic (4-6, 6-3, 6-1)[/p]
Gauff in 2026
[p]Best results: Rome, Miami (final)[/p][p]Best results on grass: Wimbledon (quarter-finals)[/p][p]Record: 30-11[/p][p]Record in the last 10 matches: 7-3[/p][p]Record on grass: 4-1[/p][p]Record against top-10 players: 2-3 (career 35-39)[/p][p]Record in Grand Slam quarter-finals: 0-1 (career 5-5)[/p][p]Grand Slams: Australian Open (quarter-finals), French Open (round of 32)[/p]
Gauff at Wimbledon
[p]Career record: 15-6[/p][p]Best result: quarter-finals (2026)[/p][p]Last year's result: round of 128[/p][p]Record in quarter-finals: 0-0[/p][p]Preparation: Berlin (round of 16)[/p][p]Road to the quarter-finals: Korpatsch (6-2, 6-1), Sierra (6-3, 3-6, 7-6), Liu (6-3, 6-7, 6-2), (11) Bencic (4-6, 6-3, 6-4)[/p]
[a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/tennis/muchova-k-Or4Qa1ye/osaka-n-MDM4BKiA/?mid=tjJDwOtB"]Osaka vs Muchova - 16:00 CEST[/a]

Match news and form
[p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/osaka-naomi/MDM4BKiA/"]Naomi Osaka[/a] has won a match on the Centre Court of Wimbledon for the first time ever, an achievement that comes upon her sixth main draw appearance.
