[p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/ajax/8UOvIwnb/"]Ajax[/a] are rumoured to potentially get rid of [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/dolberg-kasper/C8C5vSB8/"]Kasper Dolberg[/a], 28, just one year after their reunion. The Danish striker joined from [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/anderlecht/vslqAKNo/"]Anderlecht[/a] for a fee around €10 million, but failed to make an impression in his first year back in Amsterdam after scoring just 5 goals in 30 games across all competitions.[/p][p]Whether newly appointed technical director Jordi Cruyff will actually sell Dolberg remains to be seen, with the Dane the only experienced striker on the books for next season. [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/weghorst-wout/tpWMDFoL/"]Wout Weghorst[/a] is set to leave the club, with his contract running out this summer.[/p][p]A return to Denmark has been rumoured, and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/midtjylland/8GZDmdbB/"]FC Midtjylland[/a] sports director Kristian Bach Bak discussed Dolberg in the Midtjylland fan podcast 'Sort Snak'.[/p][image alt="Kasper Dolberg's statistics in the Eredivisie" id="7f0479d6-b782-43f2-9661-6543d09afa98" credit-line="Opta via StatsPerform (Photo by PETER LOUS / NURPHOTO / NURPHOTO VIA AFP)" guid="c14cd070-9d08-4069-95f0-d94760c494e8" original-width="1080" original-height="1080" /][p]"It's clear that when you mention a player like Dolberg, I don't think many Danish clubs or clubs throughout Europe would say that it would be annoying to get a goalscorer who can just score at will and is ice-cold," Bach Bak said about Dolberg, who last scored on January 28th.[/p][p]Midtjylland finished second in the Danish Superliga, seven points behind champions [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/aarhus/OOXnKGbO/"]Aarhus[/a]. The Jutland club are famous for running their football operations in a manner similar to the 'Moneyball' philosophy made famous by the Oakland Athletics in Major League Baseball.[/p][p]"From saying that to it happening, I think there's a long way to go," Bach Bak continued. "It has to fit with our average age, strategy, and it also costs a bit to bring such types home."[/p][p]Kasper Dolberg is under contract with Ajax through 2029.[/p]
