Number one seeds Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten continue to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in the Men's Doubles competition at Wimbledon 2026, coming from a set down to beat Guido Andreozzi and Manuel Guinard 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 in the quarter-finals.

[p]It means a return to the semi-finals at SW19 for the Finn and Brit the first time since they lifted the trophy two years ago, but they've done it the hard way, needing to win a 10-point tiebreak for the third match in a row.[/p][p]Just as they did in the previous round, the world number one pair went a set down, but unlike their 5-7 start against [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/pavlasek-adam/EmouDEJm/"]Adam Pavlasek[/a] and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/rikl-patrik/r5IEmPRO/"]Patrik Rikl[/a], this one was more comprehensive, as [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/andreozzi-guido/jsEQiWCq/"]Andreozzi[/a] and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/guinard-manuel/Yi4YPuke/"]Guinard[/a] forced a loss of serve twice in succession, taking a 4-0 lead before easily holding out to take it, 6-2.[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/heliovaara-harri/OYcuApkE/"]Heliovaara[/a] and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/patten-henry/tzbx2iwG/"]Patten[/a] then needed to save four break points in the opening game of the second set, but that was their only real scare before a very uncharacteristic loss of serve from the eighth seeds in game 10 - in which they didn't take a single point - handed the set, 6-4, to the top-ranked pair.[/p][embed guid="0bb3096b-e96d-44e1-a642-b7cfd8e98df8" url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMi4ItmUm_g" social-type="youtube" /][p]Neither duo would give the other such gifts in the third set, which only once went to deuce and had no break point chances, setting up a 10-point tiebreak.[/p][p]The Argentinian and Frenchman came back from 3-1 down to level at 3-3 and 4-4 after six of the first eight points went against serve, but it was Heliovaara and Patten who found their rhythm the sooner, winning five of the next six points and securing the tiebreak 10-6 with their second match point to take [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/tennis/heliovaara-h-OYcuApkE/patten-h-tzbx2iwG/?mid=Kb7KK88C"]the victory[/a].[/p][p]The former champions will take on Australia's [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/kokkinakis-thanasi/rBm7dcxH/"]Thanasi Kokkinakis[/a] and the United States' [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/kovacevic-aleksandar/AudsF90U/"]Aleksandar Kovacevic[/a] in the semi-finals.[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/tennis/atp-doubles/wimbledon/"]Follow Wimbledon 2026 on Flashscore.[/a][/p]
