Hurricanes sign Conn Smythe winner Jordan Staal to one-year extension

He scored at least one goal in five straight games during the Stanley Cup Final to tie an NHL record, joining only five other players to do so in the past fifty years. [/p][p]Carolina ultimately defeated the Vegas Golden Knights in six games, with the long-time veteran Staal at the forefront.
