[p]MotoGP has extended its agreement with Silverstone, which stages the race, to cover the 2027 and 2028 seasons.[/p][p]The British Grand Prix returned to Silverstone, which also hosts Formula 1 races, after a 24-year absence in 2010.[/p][p]This year's British race will take place on Sunday - the 12th of 22 races in the MotoGP season.[/p][p][b]"This extension underscores our commitment to two-wheel racing,"[/b] said Silverstone chief executive Stuart Pringle.[/p][p][b]"This renewed partnership secures our place as the undisputed home of elite international racing."[/b][/p][embed guid="17a2b35b-1870-443b-a3b4-d8a3b2883dca" url="https://x.com/MotoGP/status/2085331131377840481" social-type="twitter" /][p]Carmelo Ezpeleta, chief executive of MotoGP Group, added: [b]"The UK has a rich motorcycle racing heritage and remains one of the most important markets for MotoGP.[/b][/p][p][b]"Silverstone provides a fantastic stage for MotoGP, 11 different winners in the last 11 Grands Prix hosted at the circuit is a testament to the quality, competitiveness and unpredictability of racing at the circuit."[/b][/p]
