AGF on Sunday celebrated their first Danish Championship title in 40 years. Flashscore has taken a look at what it will take for them to qualify for the UEFA Champions League

[p]AGF will enter the 2nd round of the Champions League qualification, and the Aarhus outfit will be unseeded throughout the main stages of the competition due to their lack of UEFA coefficient points. [/p][p]In the second round, AGF can face teams such as Serbian outfit [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/crvena-zvezda/ncRzHK14/"]Crvena Zvezda[/a] ([a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/salzburg/Olvehxrl/"]Red Star Belgrade[/a]), Croatian team [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/din-zagreb/8G5ufQTg/"]Dinamo Zagreb[/a], or Cypriot side [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/omonia/GSLWiAPe/"]Omonia Nicosia[/a], while teams such as Slovak outfit [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/slovan-bratislava/QRaWdwQf/"]Slovan Bratislava[/a] and Slovenian side [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/celje/SpbURe4O/"]NK Celje[/a] are favorites to advance from the first qualifying round. [/p][p]Should AGF lose in the 2nd round of the Champions League qualification, they will go through to the 3rd round of the Europa League qualification. If AGF lose in the 3rd round of the Europa League qualification, they will get one last chance to reach a European group stage in the playoff round of the Conference League qualification. [/p][p]If the Danish champions advance from the 2nd round of the Champions League qualification, they will enter the 3rd round potentially as a seeded team. This is because lots are drawn for the 3rd round before the 2nd round of the qualification is finished, and therefore, the highest-seeded team in the matches will be used as a starting point.[/p][embed guid="b9f2dfe2-2504-449b-8a02-1e9e2be1623a" url="https://x.com/eurofootcom/status/2053572810157515000" social-type="twitter" /][p]In this round, they can meet the other winners from the 2nd round of the Champions League qualification, which means that teams like Red Star, Dinamo Zagreb, and Omonia Nicosia can again be in play.[/p][p]If AGF exits the 3rd round of the Champions League qualification, the playoff round for the Europa League qualification awaits. A win here will secure a place in the league phase of the Europa League, but if they lose this one, they will enter the league phase of the Conference League.[/p][p]If AGF reaches the final and decisive playoff round in the Champions League qualification, they will again be unseeded.[/p][p]Here, there are likely to face a team that has come through the qualification, or the Norwegian champions Viking, or the Greek, Scottish, or Austrian champions – currently, those leagues are led by AEK Athens, Hearts, and LASK Linz, respectively. [/p][p]Should AGF fall short of qualifying for the Champions League in this round, they can instead look forward to the Europa League league phase. [/p]
