Last Friday, the Frisians played [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/jong-az-alkmaar/lKIgIV5b/"]Jong AZ[/a] at home and were up 3-2 in the 86th minute, but squandered the lead after [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/balk-remco/lnXFpoLd/"]Remco Balk[/a] gave away a penalty following a Luis Suárez-esque save, and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/van-den-ban-yoel/hQsFGlkT/"]Yoel van den Ban[/a] scored the penalty with a double touch. [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/bendeguz-kovacs/2awfSoVm/"]Bendeguz Kovacz[/a] then won it for Jong AZ with a dramatic 94th-minute volley, costing Cambuur an early promotion.[/p][embed guid="21f8c7c5-c823-4023-ae55-7a1ea23e02d9" url="https://x.com/1e_Divisie/status/2036550071630672093?s=20" social-type="twitter" /][p]Cambuur's electrifying start saw them take a three-goal lead within 25 minutes via [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/ferrah-ichem/8xpQRjKk/"]Ichim Ferrah[/a] and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/kvam-fabian/GEHGn4Q0/"]Fabian Kvam[/a], who scored twice in two minutes. FC Emmen got on the scoreboard before the break via [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/postema-romano/2cBfpmMA/"]Romano Postema[/a], but conceded a fourth soon after the break when Ferrah added a second to his tally with a near-post finish from distance. A late consolation goal from [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/quispel-freddy/lQu3VVpg/"]Freddy Quispel[/a] was one for the statistics, as the Cambuur players and fans celebrated their return to the Dutch top tier.[/p][p]Cambuur last played in the Eredivisie in 2022, when they were relegated two years after winning the title in the second tier.
