Three-set defeat sees Goransson and King's Wimbledon over after one round

Sweden's only representative at Wimbledon this year is out of the men's doubles, as Andre Goransson and Evan King were beaten in three sets by Petr Nouza and Neil Oberleitner (6-7, 7-6, 6-3).

[p]A quarter-finalist at the British showpiece in 2021, [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/goransson-andre/bkGRha3F/"]Goransson[/a] is yet to win a men's doubles match at Wimbledon since, and successive third-round exits in Grand Slam events alongside [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/king-evan/vwjbTFaf/"]King[/a] did nothing to change those fortunes.[/p][p]The first two sets required tiebreaks as neither pair could force a break of serve - in the first set, the Swede and American took it with their second set point, 9-7, [b]but having gone 5-1 up in the second set tiebreak, they suffered something of a collapse[/b], failing to take a match point when 7-6 up before a battling [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/nouza-petr/2oZ9t0vp/"]Nouza[/a] and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/oberleitner-neil/C02ZcN0K/"]Oberleitner[/a] took it, 9-7.[/p][p]The first break of serve in the match in game four of the third set looked to have given the Czech and Austrian all they needed to take the match, only for Goransson and King to break back immediately in the next game.
