AGF CEO Jacob Nielsen hits out at the group of supporters who are the reason why the club must do without spectators at the special fan section when Brondby visits Aarhus in the season premiere in the Danish Superliga at the end of July.

[p]"It is completely unacceptable that we are now once again in a situation where we are not only suffering financial damage with large fines and lost income, but also sporting damage by weakening the support from our fans in a rival match", says Jacob Nielsen to AGF's website.[/p][p]The Danish Football Disciplinary Body issued a ruling on Thursday based on AGF's last match last season against [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/viborg/v99EsEjo/"]Viborg FF[/a], where "at least 187 sets of pyrotechnics" were set off before at least 10 spectators ran onto the pitch. [/p][p]In addition to the spectator penalty, AGF will also receive a fine of €20,000.[/p][embed guid="bdf73238-66e3-47d0-97dd-177c57c2bc02" url="https://x.com/KSDH_AGF/status/2067603258315596183" social-type="twitter" /][p]"This is behavior that is destructive to our football club, it is inconsiderate towards all the spectators who can manage to behave properly, and we will not put up with it. We must - in addition to sanctioning those we can identify - engage in a dialogue with our fans to bring this unacceptable behavior to an end", says Jacob Nielsen.[/p][p]AGF won the Danish title in front of [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/midtjylland/8GZDmdbB/"]FC Midtjylland[/a] and will represent Denmark in the Champions League. [/p]
