So it all comes down to the last day of the season for West Ham United.

[p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/soccer/leeds-tUxUbLR2/west-ham-Cxq57r8g/?mid=CGPuEgkR"]Even a win at home to Leeds United[/a] might not be enough for them to stay in the Premier League, as their fate is out of their own hands.[/p]
Even a win might not be enough for West Ham
[p]Should [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/tottenham/UDg08Ohm/"]Tottenham[/a] earn just a point [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/soccer/everton-KluSTr9s/tottenham-UDg08Ohm/?mid=W6HXFFKE"]at home[/a] against [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/everton/KluSTr9s/"]Everton[/a], then the [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/west-ham/Cxq57r8g/"]Hammers[/a] will plummet into the Championship.[/p][p]It would be their third relegation of the Premier League era, after 2002/03 and 2010/11, but could be the hardest for them to bear.[/p][image alt="West Ham's current Premier League position" id="0dced37e-053b-4e07-a93f-33c049cb1ab9" credit-line="Flashscore" guid="dba2e630-c59f-4e3e-a643-335969d9d4bd" original-width="1200" original-height="1200" /][p]With players almost certainly needing to be sold to balance the books, there will be question marks as to whether the Irons would have enough quality to be able to bounce back at the first attempt or face an extended period out of the top-flight.[/p][p]Not that Nuno Espirito Santo or his squad will be contemplating such a scenario at this stage.[/p]
Leeds lost on their last Premier League visit to London Stadium
[p]The East Londoners are perfectly capable of getting a win at the London Stadium against a [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/leeds/tUxUbLR2/"]Leeds[/a] side with nothing to play for, and then fingers will be crossed that former manager, David Moyes, could mastermind a win for his Toffees side in N17, which would see Spurs falling through the trap door for the first time in 50 years.[/p][p]If West Ham do ultimately succumb, it will leave the top flight without a team whose name begins with W for the first time since 1910/11.[/p][embed guid="26cf1d56-b200-470b-8c2a-fedcf8a0f004" url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuPDHZYq3jQ&t=6s" social-type="youtube" /][p]The last time the two teams played at the London Stadium, Leeds ultimately triumphed in the FA Cup, though the last league meeting between them at the London Stadium, in May 2023, was won 3-1 by the hosts.[/p][p]West Ham could win consecutive home league games against the Yorkshiremen for the first time since 1974, and they could do with a similar outcome to that 2023 fixture on Sunday.[/p]
First double over the Hammers for Leeds since 2010/11?
[p]Leeds could do the double over their hosts, of course, after winning the reverse fixture at Elland Road earlier in the season, and were they to do just that, it would be the first time the all-whites had managed the feat since West Ham were relegated in 2010/11 with a Premier League record 42 points.[/p][p]Perhaps ominously for the East Londoners, Leeds' seven wins against their hosts is their most away wins against any opponent to date, even though they did lose on their last visit.[/p][image alt="West Ham v Leeds - Recent head-to-head results" id="af415b05-91a6-4b53-bd06-46299c7818da" credit-line="Flashscore" guid="99150cf2-d223-4e1d-bd5f-7e569604ebf2" original-width="1200" original-height="1200" /][p]Leeds have also only lost two of their last 15 final-day matches in the Premier League (W6, D7), though both of those losses were against London clubs (vs Tottenham in 2022/23 and vs [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/chelsea/4fGZN2oK/"]Chelsea[/a] in 2003/04).[/p][p]The Hammers have lost only one of their last 19 final-day games when playing at home (W11, D7), against [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/sunderland/WSzc94ws/"]Sunderland[/a] in 10/11 when they were already relegated, and that should encourage the squad and supporters.[/p]
Bowen is vital for the hosts
[p]Perhaps current form is a better guide as to how Sunday's fixture might go, with West Ham losing their last three games and Leeds remaining unbeaten in their last eight (W4, D4). It's been 22 years since the visitors last remained unbeaten in their final nine games of a season, however.[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/bowen-jarrod/pW170H9K/"]Jarrod Bowen[/a] is clearly going to be vital for his team in their final 90 minutes of the season, and to give some perspective on just how important he is to the Hammers, the England international has assisted eight of West Ham's last 12 goals.[/p][image alt="Bowen's stats in the Premier League season" id="4c026532-b92a-454c-b488-58805949b296" credit-line="Opta by StatsPerform (photo by REUTERS/Scott Heppell)" guid="c6a02754-f1cb-4772-a284-0e635dccf8b2" original-width="1080" original-height="1080" /][p]His 10 assists in total in 2025/26 mean that only Paolo Di Canio (13 in 1999/2000), Dimitri Payet (12 in 2015/16) and Eyal Berkovic (11 in 1998/99) have more in a single Premier League season in club history.[/p][p]Leeds will likely look to [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/calvert-lewin-dominic/0WmBe6U2/"]Dominic Calvert-Lewin[/a] and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/okafor-noah/EDhpumvd/"]Noah Okafor[/a] to be their match winners.[/p][p]The former has 14 goals this season, the most in the squad, with the latter's eight goals placing him second in that particular ranking.[/p]
Leeds could be without eight players
[p]It's actually Okafor's birthday on the day of the game, and were he fit and available, he could've become the first Leeds player since Alf Inge Haaland to score on their birthday, which Haaland ironically did against West Ham.[/p][image alt="West Ham vs Leeds - Live win probability" id="9039a64e-5474-44d4-b6dc-2618a9bf313f" credit-line="Opta by StatsPerform" guid="45169cc5-6366-401f-927f-a56d300c020f" original-width="1080" original-height="1080" /][p]Unfortunately, the soon-to-be 26-year-old is ruled out along with [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/struijk-pascal/dQgXn8kR/"]Pascal Struijk[/a] and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/gruev-ilia/t8KQ8OzE/"]Ilia Gruev[/a]. All of [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/aaronson-brendan/0GqS59FE/"]Brenden Aaronson[/a], [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/bogle-jayden/xAdjsHZG/"]Jayden Bogle[/a], [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/buonanotte-facundo/Od8aJqLN/"]Facundo Buonanotte[/a], [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/stach-anton/h8i6ur8L/"]Anton Stach[/a] and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/gudmundsson-gabriel/0zzTdK1T/"]Gabriel Gudmundsson[/a] face late fitness tests to determine their availability.[/p][p]For the Hammers, only [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/fabianski-lukasz/bRKKNZwj/"]Lukasz Fabianski[/a] is definitely out, with rapid wide man [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/traore-adama/Qsy3Kmgj/"]Adama Traore[/a] facing a late test to see if he's fit enough to play any part.[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/soccer/england/premier-league/"]Follow the Premier League final day with Flashscore![/a][/p][image alt="Jason Pettigrove" id="d332702d-523e-41f0-b48d-7fe8b88b241a" credit-line="Flashscore" guid="2044d82e-102b-4465-8620-bde1f3e26cfe" original-width="1200" original-height="380" /]
