[p]A humbling 7-0 defeat in Gothenburg last time out sent [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/lulea/0QhOwF1e/"]Lulea[/a] back up north with their tails between their legs and with something of a point to prove back on home ice. In defence, they stepped up, but failed to capitalise in attack in a match that was still goalless after 40 minutes.[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/frolunda/pAG4OqEE/"]Frolunda[/a]'s first powerplay chance late in the first period after holding by [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/liedes-heikki/6svQY8eF/"]Heikki Liedes[/a] was ended 10 seconds in when [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/stenberg-ivar/UwurqeCM/"]Ivar Stenberg[/a] was called for tripping. The visitors then managed to hold out a man down late in the second period after [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/egli-dominik/K6ovgncl/"]Dominik Egli[/a] was called for another trip.[/p][p]The away side were 19-10 up on shots on goal after two periods, so perhaps it was no surprise it was they who finally broke the deadlock with less than four minutes to play when [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/dower-nilsson-noah/lj7XWKKC/"]Noah Dower Nilsson[/a] scored for the second time in the series.[/p][p]But after waiting over 56 minutes for one goal, a second arrived 39 seconds later - Lulea attacked down the left before [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/o-neill-brian/ljHMjSMf/"]Brian O'Neill[/a] squared to [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/hedqvist-isac/tjQztRYE/"]Isac Hedqvist[/a], whose strike trickled past the goaltender and in to send the match to overtime.[/p][p]It took almost nine minutes for either side to give an inch, but it was Frolunda who blinked first as [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/lasu-nicklas/pdDhw9oN/"]Nicklas Lasu[/a] was called for hooking, and with only 20 seconds of the powerplay left, [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/brome-mathias/CYL8qow3/"]Mathias Brome[/a] swept home the winning goal.[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/hockey/frolunda-pAG4OqEE/lulea-0QhOwF1e/?mid=AT7StiAc"]2-1[/a] to Lulea both on the night and now in the series, and the teams stay at the Coop Norrbotten Arena for game four on 29th March.[/p][embed guid="3e56dc51-62ef-48ea-8320-f14c7aa6acc2" url="https://x.com/SHLse/status/2037626110481985958" social-type="twitter" /][p]In the other game, [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/skelleftea/8jdWygW7/"]Skelleftea[/a] moved to one win away from a place in the last four, beating [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/malmo/pO1SCzgR/"]Malmo[/a] [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/hockey/malmo-pO1SCzgR/skelleftea-8jdWygW7/?mid=WdiguvZh"]4-2[/a] on the road to take a 3-0 series lead with the chance to complete a sweep in game four at Malmo Arena on 29th March.[/p][p]As in both previous games in the series, and their most recent regular season game, the Redhawks took the lead. Midway through the opening period, [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/elia-pedrotti/UR2kX4td/"]Elia Pedrotti[/a] found [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/oberg-linus/lG6J3cA5/"]Linus Oberg[/a], who slotted his second goal in as many games.[/p][p]But, also as in the three previous head-to-heads, Skelleftea came from behind to win - 13 minutes into the second period, [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/grahn-viktor/hnUwYDvM/"]Viktor Grahn[/a] and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/lindberg-oscar/IBpaSV2T/"]Oscar Lindberg[/a] combined for [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/aagaard-mikkel/v57qjaw9/"]Mikkel Aagaard[/a] to equalise with his second of the quarter-finals.[/p][p]Then came a real blow to the home side, as the visitors completed the turnaround in the final minute of the period through [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/pudas-jonathan/6NybQmEC/"]Jonathan Pudas[/a].[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/johansson-pontus/Or8s7TPe/"]Pontus Johansson[/a] looked to have put the game to bed when his goal went all the way through with a little over three minutes to go, but a powerplay chance brought Malmo right back into it a minute later, through [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/handemark-fredrik/8WP5IyGI/"]Fredrik Handemark[/a].[/p][p]Malmo gambled by taking off the goaltender to try and force a late leveller, but it backfired with still over a minute to go, and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/hugg-rickard/UwnzCOS7/"]Rickard Hugg[/a]'s empty-net goal finally sealed another victory for Skelleftea.[/p][embed guid="948097e0-bcd9-4355-a8c5-e3f1ce475b14" url="https://x.com/SHLse/status/2037625724488589560" social-type="twitter" /][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/hockey/sweden/shl/"]Follow the SHL playoffs on Flashscore.[/a][/p]
