While the fierce quarterfinal battles of the FIFA World Cup were wrapping up on the pitch, we organised a parallel championship for you right on the streets as part of World Cup Questions. Two absolute heavyweights of global cuisine faced off - cosmopolitan New York and vibrant, energetic Mexico City.

In New York, we went for tried-and-true classics that define the local fast food scene. We sampled legendary pizza with a perfectly crispy crust, juicy monster burgers, and of course, the famous, generously filled pastrami sandwiches that will make you want to move to Manhattan on the spot.[/p][p]On the other side of the spectrum, in Mexico City, we were treated to an explosion of authentic flavours. Street stalls welcomed us with brilliant tacos al pastor straight from the vertical grill, crispy quesadillas, and fiery salsas that packed more punch than a penalty shootout in the final.[/p][p]It was a clash of titans: hearty, satisfying American classics versus the untamed Mexican freshness bursting with herbs and lime.[/p][p]So who ultimately lifted the imaginary trophy for the gastro champion, and which dish left us literally speechless? Find out in our new video. We'll show you not only the best hidden spots where you can stuff yourself to the brim while cheering, but also the unique atmosphere that reigned in both metropolises![/p][infobox id="788805c3-fd23-456b-aa40-3d5232992c8b" /]
