HSV overcome FC Copenhagen with two late goals in front of packed Volksparkstadion

[p]The Lions started without any out-and-out centre-backs, and the hosts eventually managed to get the better of [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/fc-copenhagen/hSPZwbEh/"]FC Copenhagen[/a] goalkeeper [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/ramaj-diant/nc3rZ5X6/"]Diant Ramaj[/a] twice—though he had otherwise put in a strong performance up to that point.[/p][p]The match will also be remembered for the return of [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/huescas-rodrigo/Wr6A9v2F/"]Rodrigo Huescas[/a] who was called back into action after a lengthy injury-spell[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/poulsen-yussuf/SrWbvhrI/"]Yussuf Poulsen[/a] was substituted after just under 20 minutes due to leg discomfort, making way for Otto Stange, who was quite prominent for the Germans in the first half.[/p][p]Shortly after [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/cornelius-andreas/CCv6fske/"]Andreas Cornelius[/a] had the chance to set up the returning Rodrigo Huescas for a clear-cut opportunity inside the HSV box, but the striker’s pass was far too imprecise.[/p][embed guid="4bbbabcc-229a-43b3-9285-d57844319b0e" url="https://x.com/FCKobenhavn/status/2106766996578943410" social-type="twitter" /][p]Shortly before the halftime whistle, Diant Ramaj pulled off an excellent save to deny an effort from Albert Lokonga, though the play was subsequently ruled offside.[/p][p]Both teams made changes at the start of the second half; Cornelius and Huescas were given an early rest, while HSV swapped goalkeepers.[/p][p]In the 50th minute, Ramaj again came to the visitors' rescue by parrying a shot from former Arsenal player [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/vieira-fabio/E1jSdqUR/"]Fabio Vieira[/a] with his left glove, and also came up with a glorious save after 75 minutes to keep the game scoreless. [/p][p]But in the end, the FC Copenhagen defense caved in on two occasions as Kofi Amoako and Nicolai Remberg got on the scoreboard. [/p]
