Javier Mascherano has announced his resignation as Inter Miami’s head coach, citing personal reasons, just a few months after leading the team to the greatest achievements in the club’s history.

We respect his decision and thank him for everything.”[/b][/p][h2]Guillermo Hoyos to take over as Inter Miami head coach[/h2][p]In the 2025 season, his first in charge, Mascherano achieved remarkable results, winning two major trophies, including the club’s first MLS Cup title, and setting a record with 101 goals scored in a single season.[/p][p]Inter Miami also impressed internationally, becoming the first MLS team to reach the knockout stages of the FIFA Club World Cup and the first CONCACAF side to defeat a European team in an official match.[/p][p]For the upcoming period, the club announced that Guillermo Hoyos would take over as head coach, while Alberto Marrero will serve as sporting director.[/p]
