The Boston Bruins forced a Game 6 in the NHL playoffs on Tuesday, beating the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 in overtime. The Minnesota Wild were also winners on the night, getting the better of the Dallas Stars to take a 3-2 series lead, while the Edmonton Oilers saw off the Anaheim Ducks.

[p]The [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/boston-bruins/jeans23J/"]Bruins[/a], outscored 15-9 in the first fives games of the series, [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/hockey/boston-bruins-jeans23J/buffalo-sabres-UobjtMIP/?mid=xrbKFUeC"]were looking for a second straight road win[/a] over the [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/buffalo-sabres/UobjtMIP/"]Sabres[/a]. [/p][p]Things got off to a rocky start for them though, as [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/kastelic-mark/K23PoD6E/"]Mark Kastelic[/a] was sent to the penalty box for roughing just two minutes into the contest. They were made to pay on the ensuing power play, as [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/dahlin-rasmus/rgM9Q0C7/"]Rasmus Dahlin[/a] took a shot from the Boston face-off zone that went straight in.[/p][embed guid="7dd10631-447b-4c28-a70e-e42330267949" url="https://x.com/NHL/status/2049275909773873632?s=20" social-type="twitter" /][p]Behind once more, there was no further room for error for the guests. After going for goal from a tight angle, [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/lindholm-elias/vmvqcVUh/"]Elias Lindholm[/a]'s initial effort was kept out by Sabres goaltender [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/lyon-alex/f5NTIM3H/"]Alex Lyon[/a]. The puck popped into the air, and the Swede was first to it, swiveling and firing it into the net to tie the game.[/p][embed guid="fe5db51b-b023-47ad-8345-6e404515af74" url="https://x.com/NHL/status/2049291180764991656?s=20" social-type="twitter" /][p]There was a hush from the home crowd as the Bruins celebrated a much-needed leveller. [/p][p]The rest of regulation saw the score remain 1-1, with both teams trading blows and trying to find the go-ahead marker.
