Logan Stankoven makes NHL history as Hurricanes take Game 1 from Flyers

The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 3-0 in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semi-finals matchup on Saturday.

That's tied with two other teams for the fewest in any game through the first two periods these playoffs. [/p][p]The other two teams? The [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/montreal-canadiens/nu2G7VWc/"]Montreal Canadiens[/a] in Game 1 against the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Ottawa Senators in Game 1 against...the Hurricanes, a game in which the latter won 2-0.[/p][p]Carolina would go into the third period outshooting the Flyers 21-9 and with 1:15 left on their third power play of the game, with nothing to come from it.[/p][p]After both teams went on a 4-v-4, and the Flyers went on their fourth power play - nothing doing.
