Imperious PSV win third-straight Eredivisie title to become 27-time champions

The loss meant PSV had to wait at least another week for the 27th league title, after which Telstar handed PSV another shock loss.[/p][p]On their third attempt, PSV struck gold, thus becoming the [b]earliest champions by date in Eredivisie history[/b], beating their own record set on April 8th, 1978.[/p][h2]Dynasty[/h2][p]PSV's third consecutive Eredivisie title makes the Eindhoven outfit the first team to win three-straight since Ajax did so between 2019 and 2022, when the Amsterdam giants won three consecutive titles under Erik ten Hag.[/p][p]PSV have won three consecutive Eredivisie titles twice before. Jan Reker and Guus Hiddink won four titles in a row with PSV between 1986 and 1989, one year after the club's historic Europa Cup I triumph. Between 2005 and 2008, PSV also won four consecutive league titles, then under the tutelage of Sef Vergoossen, Ronald Koeman, and, again, Guus Hiddink.[/p]
